VIP Expert Platform - Expert Consent Form v1
This consent form governs participation in the Valley Innovation Partners ("VIP") Expert Platform.
By agreeing electronically, you confirm that you understand and accept the terms below.
1. Purpose
- VIP may introduce experts to advisory, diligence, technical validation, market research, or partnership support opportunities.
- Participation does not guarantee any specific project, engagement, or compensation.
2. Confidentiality
- You may receive non-public information from VIP or its clients.
- You agree not to disclose or misuse confidential information and may be asked to sign additional NDAs when needed.
3. Independent Status
- You participate as an independent expert, not as an employee, agent, or representative of VIP.
- Taxes, insurance, and other legal obligations remain your responsibility unless otherwise agreed in writing.
4. Compliance and Conflicts
- You are responsible for complying with your employer's and any applicable institution's outside-activity, compliance, and conflict policies.
- You agree to disclose potential conflicts of interest before accepting a project.
5. No Brokerage or Securities Activity
- Your role is limited to advisory and informational support.
- You will not broker investments, solicit securities transactions, negotiate financing terms, or act as an investment intermediary through VIP.
6. Profile and Data Use
- You consent to VIP storing and managing your profile information, including your name, headline, career summary, region, languages, and LinkedIn URL.
- VIP may share only the information reasonably necessary for matching and evaluating expert opportunities.
7. Communications and Records
- You may communicate with VIP or clients through email, meetings, and messaging channels related to potential or active engagements.
- VIP may retain limited records for quality control, compliance, and dispute prevention.
8. Consent Version
- You electronically accept this consent form (v1).
- VIP may update this consent form and request renewed acceptance for material changes.
